Our Mena was the
life of our home.
Her energy and love was incomparable
to anything we’ve ever seen.
Mena was born with a rare chromosome disorder which was unique to her and her alone. Her first week of life brought many challenges as she had a heart defect which required medical intervention to correct. Even with many physical and health challenges that she faced, she persevered through it all.
We love to say she is the strongest of all of us including her two older brothers.
Leading the Way
With no clear prognosis of her chromosome disorder, we let her show us the way. As she continued to grow and learn she became so capable of communicating her wants and needs to us. Entering school, we saw her excel and capture the hearts of all those that she interacted with.
If you were around Mena, you could feel her energy and love. Mena inspired happiness to all of us and we miss her dearly.
Philomena’s life came to a sudden stop due to sepsis on Aug 30th, 2023.
It is through this non profit that we will keep her light shining bright.
